Talk focused on urban sustainability and satellite-based observation held by The Digital Economy research platform at University of Vaasa (Finland)
The Digital Economy research platform at University of Vaasa (Finland) welcomes participants to join the future talk focusing on urban sustainability and satellite-based observation. They hope to promote dialogue around energy and material stocks and flows in urban areas. They are especially interested in adding satellite-based observations into the discussion of a more efficient analysis of urban energy and materials exchange (urban metabolism). Their aim is to challenge various experts into thinking and discussing how space-based data could be used more efficiently in promoting sustainable urban transition.
They will invite experts from different sectors to join their future talk: European Commission; Ministry of Environment (Finland); Urban sustainability expert; Urban remote sensing specialist; City representative; Urban metabolism expert.
The event is held in English and is organized by the Digital Economy research platform (University of Vaasa), an open research platform for interdisciplinary research on innovations enabled by new technology as well as their impact on individuals, organisations, industry and society.
